There are many kinds of agaves. I think this is aloe vera. I don't think it's the maguey from which tequila is made. I just like the color and shape and may paint other varieties. It's on a 12x12 in. gallery wrapped canvas and in a black and silver floating frame. I'm quite satisfied with it.
