Life

It's a winding bumpy road. My paintings have messages but sometimes they're hard to read so I'm putting some thoughts into words as well as paint. I'll be posting opinions and memories and hope to get the messages across more clearly.

Among My Souvenirs

Here's a sample of a custom painting I can do for you but with some of your own favorite memorabilia. This one was for my mother with her bible, my grandfather's pocket watch, letters from my dad in WW I, a souvenir handkerchief from France a wedding candlestick and indications of her love of music and nature. It's 15 X 30 inches and I will paint one for you for $250.00 if you will send me photos of some of your favorite things. I'm currently working on one as a wedding gift (much more personal than a toaster). Send me an email if you're interested. irenecorey@cox.net

Palm Mystery

Here's an orderly pattern in Nature compared with that other wild and fluffy leaf. They could be a nice match. Same size (10x10 in.), price, color and theme

Small but Mighty

A little of this goes a long way. Let's take a lesson... speak softly but pack a wallop. How's this for a hostess gift for a gourmet cook? $25.00 for a 3x3 in. original oil painting and small wooden easel; about the price of a nice bottle of wine but lasts longer.

Velvet Succulant

Here's another small affordable original, maybe a gift for a gardener or yourself. These popular, drought-resistant plants are velvety soft like kittens' ears. $25.00 for a 3x3 in. painting including a small wooden easel.

Order vs. Chaos

Here's an example of a philodendron leaf with a very orderly structure but wild and seemingly disorganized frilly leaves. And the combination is perfect. Do you think we humans could successfully and respectfully coexist with order and and chaos? Maybe we should take a lesson from a philodendron leaf.

Summertime

Here's my latest, a big 24 x 30 in. fresh, clean reminder of summer days spitting seeds off the back porch. It also makes a bold impression on any wall. I'd sell it for $350. What do you think?

I Built You a Nest

I built you a nest with love and patience. I lined it with my softest dreams and warmed it with faith they would come true. I nourished you with Buffalo Bob and Curious George and cuddled you with a plastic dog. I helped you grow strong and you flew away. What went wrong?

EVERYTHING FADES

Here's a new one of my recent mood change; simple and straightforward but always with a message... to me anyway. My red chair cushions have faded, of course. So has my hair color... and my memory, my hopes for fame and fortune. love, life...

ETERNITY

Do you think this is a drastic departure from my representational paintings? Well, maybe... in a way. But do you see the same clean colors, sharp edges and orderly design? Plus it still represents something... ETERNITY. It's 24 x 36 in. on a 2 in. wrapped canvas painted on all sides and priced at $300.00. Opinion?

SUNSET MOUNTAIN

THIS IS #4 IN THIS RED ROCKY SERIES.
IT'S BEEN FUN AND CHALLENGING TO RESIST TOO MUCH DETAIL BUT EVERYTHING CHANGES AND I'M NO EXCEPTION. TIME TO UNCLUTTER MY LIFE. This 6X6 in. is yours in exchange for $75.00 and $8 shipping.

GEOMETRY ROCKS

Here's another one to hang with the other ones. I'm beginning to like this simple style though they would have more impact on a 3x3 ft. canvas. Maybe I'll do that too. $75.00 plus shipping for these little ones.
